Banana and apple puree

Ingredients

  • 2whole apple, sweet
  • 1whole banana, very ripe

Method

  1. Peel and core the apples and slice into small chunks.
  2. Peel and chop the banana into small pieces.
  3. Place in a pan, cover in water, bring to the boil and simmer for six to eight minutes (or until soft).
  4. Drain and puree to desired consistency.

Hints and tips

  1. Suitable for freezing.
  2. Try mashing rather than pureeing for older babies, and serve with natural yoghurt for a tasty pudding.
