Carrot Puree
Suitable from 6 months
Tweet
Ingredients
350g carrot, peeled
Method
Chop carrots and put the carrots in a saucepan and pour over just enough boiling water to cover. Cover with a lid and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until soft.
Drain the carrots and place in a blender, adding some of the water from the cooking liquid, then puree until very smooth.
Hints and tips
This is for first week of weaning, so needs to be very smooth with no lumps.
Add liquid as necessary – puree should be thick not too liquid.
