Baby born in KFC!

Speed bumps on the way to hospital bring on birth in car park of the fast-food chain

Baby Maisie joins a list of babies who’ve arrived in the world in dramatic circumstances this month. Born in the front seat of her dad, Paul Morgan’s new BMW, she took just 22 minutes to make an appearance after speed bumps on the road jogged her into action.

Dad Paul was driving mum Georgia to hospital when he was forced to pull into the car park of KFC and help with the delivery of his daughter himself. After she was born, he pulled the umbilical cord from around her neck and wrapped her in a cardigan before continuing on to hospital. Both mum and baby were absolutely fine and discharged from Hereford County Hospital the next day.

“It was incredible,” said proud mum Georgia. “Maisie weighed in at 7lb 3oz and is just like any other baby, despite the dramatic start to her life.”

We’re yet to hear if KFC will be doing a ‘Wal-Mart’ and offering the tot free KFC for life…
