Victim of IVF blunder hands over baby boy
A woman pregnant with another couple’s baby after a fertility clinic implanted her with the wrong embryo has given birth and handed the baby over to his biological parents.Paul and Shannon Morell from Detroit described Carolyn Savage as a “guardian angel” after she and husband Sean decided not to terminate the baby because of their religious beliefs.“It’s been a long and difficult journey, and we’re thrilled that our family is now complete. We will be eternally grateful for his guardian angel, Carolyn Savage, and the support of the entire Savage family,” said Paul and Shannon.Carolyn, 40 from Ohio, has congratulated the new parents and said before the birth that she just hopes the baby is happy and healthy.
