Primary school children are too inactive, warns study

They never seem to sit still, but children are not active enough say scientists

Young children urgently need to be more active a new study has found. 

Researchers at the Universities of Strathclyde and Newcastle found that some 8 to 10-year-olds were active for only 20 minutes a day. They recommended active time is 60 minutes a day.

Firefighters called after toddler gets potty stuck on head

Parents in Australia call fire brigade to help 3-year-old son

A toddler has had a potty removed from his head by firefighters in Australia.

Reports say the boy’s parents alerted emergency services around 1:45pm after the 3-year-old became stuck in the plastic potty while playing at his home, in Frankston, Victoria.

Kids at risk of going off the rails could be spotted at nursery and offered help early, says government adviser
