Forget going battling it out in the music charts! Alicia Keys has revealed that she and follow R&B superstar Beyoncé love bonding over their little ones.
"We have, like, our little playdates," Alicia told Capital FM. "We’re friends and it’s amazing to be able to have children at the same time — it’s actually really cool."
No doubt Beyoncé, mum to 10-month-old Blue Ivy, has picked up a few pearls of wisdom from her famous pal, whose little boy Egypt turns 2 this month.
"We talk a lot, and what’s important has shifted, you know?" Alicia continued.
"Being a mom, it’s amazing. It’s unbelievable. I just feel better in every possible way I can be and a joy I can’t even explain."
But it's not all soft play and sandwiches for these two mummy mates.
Next month, they'll both be performing at Alicia's annual Black Ball fundraiser in New York.
The event raises funds for Alica's Keep a Child Alive foundation, which provides help to children and families living with HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.
