Celeb mum of six immortalised into nude statue for World Breastfeeding Week
Remember the sculpture of a nude Britney Spears giving birth on a bearskin rug? Or the surrealist statue of ‘Octomum’ Nadya Suleman? It looks like no high profile mum can escape the imagination of controversial artist Daniel Edwards, who has turned his attention to super-mum Angelina Jolie.
Completely naked with her two babies peacefully breastfeeding in the ‘rugby ball’ position, the bronze life-sized sculpture is said to have been inspired by Jolie’s 2008 breastfeeding front cover photo on W magazine.
Entitled ‘Landmark For Breastfeeding,’ the piece of art will be unveiled in September in Oklahoma City, US before making its way to London.
Previous weird sculptures by the eccentric artist include Tom Cruise and Katie Holme’s daughter, Suri’s ‘first bowel movement’, Kate Moss in a sphinx style yoga pose and a Paris Hilton ‘Autopsy’.
