Alicia Silverstone, the American actress best known for her role in Clueless, has given birth to her first baby. Alicia and husband, Christopher Jerecki, welcomed their son last week and have given him the unusual name, Bear Blu.
The actress, 34, has followed the lead of Mariah Carey who revealed her twins unusual names last week by giving her son the strange moniker.
“Mum and dad are completely in love,” Alicia’s spokesman revealed – we assume they mean with their baby as well as each other.
Throughout her pregnancy, Alicia has been promoting her book, The Kind Diet, which follows vegan principles, along with animal adoption.
With Natalie Portman, Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba all due to give birth this summer, we wonder whether the unusual Hollywood baby name trend will continue?
