Baby girl for Zoe Ball and Norman Cook
The showbiz couple choose old traditional name for their new daughter
After being spotted looking ready to pop last week, DJ mum Zoe Ball has given birth to a bouncing baby girl, choosing to call her Nelly.
Zoe, 39, and her musician hubby Norman Cook, 49, welcomed little Nelly May Lois Cook on Thursday, who was born by caesarean at a London hospital. Weighing in at 8lb, the happy couple who are also parents to 9-year-son Woody, couldn’t be happier.
“They are smitten with little Nelly and could not stop smiling at each other,” a source told Hello! magazine.
The former 90s ladette and her Fatboy Slim other half, tried to conceive for a few years after their son was born, but admitted they struggled. However, after giving up the booze and their partying lifestyles, Zoe became pregnant.
“It’s been a long time coming and we’re over the moon. We’re feeling really blessed because we both gave up drinking and we’re thinking this is our gift of sobriety,” Zoe has said.
