Brad Pitt – “I beat my kids regularly” (he meant that as a joke)
The actor jokes about his most recent film role, and appears at Cannes Film Festival with Angelina Jolie by his side
Celebrity dad-of-six Brad Pitt made a bad joke at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday whilst he was promoting his new film, The Tree Of Life.
Seen with his glamorous other half Angelina Jolie, the pair trod the red carpet before Brad answered questions about his latest role in his film, where he plays a strict dad. Brad admitted he was hesitant to take on the role at first, as he worried what his six children would think.
“I think of everything I do now that my kids are going to see when they grow up and how they’re going to feel,” he told reporters. “But they know me as a dad and I hope they’ll just think of me as a pretty damn good actor.”
Brad then went onto to make his off-the-wall joke when asked if he was the kind of dad he portrays in the film. “I beat my kids regularly. It seems to do the trick. And I deprive them of meals,” Brad wisecracked.
Of course, Brad was joking – we wonder what Angelina thought of his gag?
