Busy Phillips names her daughter Cricket Pearl
Cougar Town actress announces the birth of her second daughter
A rep for the Cougar Town actress confirmed that Busy Phillips' daughter, born last week, is called Cricket Pearl Silverstein.
Busy has another daughter, Birdie, aged four. Earlier today, Busy joked about people criticising her choice in names, by tweeting: “It's weird people think my kids will be in therapy because of their names. Guys, my kids will be therapy for LOTS of reasons, I'm sure.”
Cricket was born on July 3 weighing 8.5 pounds. Busy announced the birth by tweeting: “So this just happened” accompanied by a grainy black-and-white picture of herself and her new baby [above].
Busy, whose given name is Elizabeth, told US magazine in an interview when she was pregnant that Birdie was excited about the baby. “[Birdie] talks to the baby and she’s just really thrilled. I told her, though, that it's okay to feel two ways about it. It's okay to feel really excited and also nervous or mad or scared. I don't want her to think she has to be super happy about it all the time because I know it's going to be a big adjustment for her.
“We’ll see what happens when the actual baby comes. I’m planning for the moment when she asks, ‘When does she go back?’” she joked.
