Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga urge fans to support the Berry children after parents killed in tragic accident
Celebrities around the world are banding together on Twitter to encourage fans and friends to raise funds for three orphaned and badly injured children. The Show your Heart campaign is supporting the young Berry children who were involved in a horrific car accident on the way to Houston, Texas, which killed both of their parents, Joshua and Robin. As a result of the devastating crash, brothers Peter, 9 and Aaron, 8 were both left paralysed, while 6-year-old sister Willa suffered broken bones. The boys are currently still in hospital but will need constant, round the clock care when they finally return home. The accident happened as the family were returning home from holiday when another car swerved into their lane and hit the car head on. Profile pictures across Twitter have been changing to the campaign image – holding your hands up to form the shape of a heart. Britney Spears makes the symbol in her profile picture, tweeting “Change your profile picture today & make sure to showyourhearts.” Justin Bieber has also been very supportive, saying “It’s a really sad story, but this is an opportunity for me and my friends to do something good for others. We can use our influence to do good. We are just doing our part and I hope those kids get something positive out of it.” “Monsters: There are orphans that need our help,” Lady Gaga tweeted to her fans.
