Popstar Christina Aguilera has opened up about how she plans to explain her sexy music videos and lively career to her 4-year-old son Max.
Speaking to The Sun, the superstar, who has never been afraid of flashing her flesh said: “The older you get, the more important it is to embrace your body and your sexuality.
“I can wear different hats — for example, the artist hat. When I’m on that stage and I’ve been in the wardrobe getting dressed up to play a character, I am living out a specific moment in a song.
“That hat is very different to the one I wear when I go home at night and I tuck my son in and I’m singing Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.”
The single mum also revealed how she plans to explain her colourful pop videos to her son: “I’ve definitely thought about that. That’s why early on I’m installing the tools in him to ensure that he is proud of the individual that he is, he is proud of the family he comes from and that we’re instilling in him the values surrounding him now.
“He has to be able to take on any outside opinions about mummy being a public figure and the work that I put out there.
“It’s a crazy thing, it’s an interesting road he has ahead of him, but as I said, I try to keep all the different hats I wear very different so that mummy’s hat is very different from party hat. It’s a real balancing act for me.”
At the end of the day the superstar hopes to inspire her tot: “I want him to grow up knowing that I stayed true to myself as an artist and that was my passion in life. Hopefully that will inspire him to make goals that he’s passionate about.”
