Newborn daughter is introduced to the world from the Prime Minister’s doorstep
Looking happy and relaxed, David and Samantha Cameron beamed from outside their Downing Street home today with a special guest – one-week-old daughter Florence!
Peeking out from a white crochet blanket, sleepy looking Florence was kissed and cuddled by her dad David, while mum Samantha held her tight in her arms. New mum Samantha looked gorgeous in her orange smock and nude heels – we couldn’t help but notice that the dress was part of her maternity wardrobe. So she is as human as the rest of us!
The PM admitted to changing “hundreds” of nappies and said that they were trying to keep her awake for her big moment in the spotlight. He also joked with a journalist who asked him if Nick Clegg will be changing any nappies, to which he replied, “That’s next!”
David, 39, will now go on his paternity leave to spend time with his new daughter and other children Nancy, 6, and Arthur, 4.
