Denise is excited to be expecting her first baby with husband Lee Mead

Denise Van Outen has revealed she’s thrilled to be pregnant with her first child. “It’s like I’ve been waiting my whole life to be pregnant,” she said. “I’m doing all the things that I’ve always thought were necessary. For instance, I sit down a lot on the assumption my ankles are swollen, but they’re not. I’m overfeeding myself all the most sugary items in the cupboard, despite not having any cravings yet, and I’m already on the lookout for big pavlova-type clothes, though I can sill fit in my looser items.”

Denise, 35, married Lee Mead, the winner of the Any Dream Will Do TV show, in the Seychelles earlier this year. “I’m extremely excited about the months ahead,” she revealed. “For the first time in my life, I’m looking forward to looking fat for a reason.”

If you’re struggling to enjoy your pregnancy as much as Denise, take a look at our guide for reasons to smile while your bump grows.
