Proud dad reveals his strange fondness for dirty diapers, and gushes some more about being a dad
After unveiling their little bundle of joy to the world last week, Elton John can't stop talking about his baby son Zachary!
Looking every inch the proud dad, 63-year-old Elton revealed that he loves what most parents find the not-so-glamorous part of parenting - dealing with dirty nappies! "I love the smell of nappes," Elton said during the premiere of his latest venture, Gnomeo & Juliet, for which he's providing much of the music.
"Fatherhood is fantastic. It's been the most wonderful thing that's happened to me after meeting David," he continued to gush.
Elton's enthusiasm, despite becoming a dad for the first time at the age of 63, is a world away from his infamous diva-like ways, and it seems that the singer is more than happy getting stuck in with the nappy duties! "This little soul that you're feeding, changing and bathing and telling bedtime stories to is a blank canvas. All it needs is love and nurturing."
However, Elton also added that he's prepared for when Zachary gets older - and more mobile! "When he gets talking and is running around - I'll probably feel a little different!"
