Comedian and radio host Frank Skinner celebrated his 55th birthday on air by revealing his girlfriend’s expecting their first baby
Frank Skinner announced live on his Absolute Radio show that his girlfriend is pregnant with the couple’s first child. Famous for his long-standing double act with David Baddiel, Frank used his 55th birthday to reveal that he’s to be a dad for the first time. Turning quite the old-fashioned gent, Frank said, “I have something of an announcement to make…I’m going to be a father.” Frank and his long-term partner Cath Mason haven’t revealed when the baby is due, or what the sex is. Although, the cheeky star did urge his listeners to “get knitting”, joking he’d at least be up earlier for his radio show. Co-presenter Alan Cochrane didn’t waste any time taking a few swipes at the dad-to-be joking, “Are you paranoid of any jokes you’ve made about ageing fathers in the past?” Frank mocked, “The way I’m seeing it is that I probably won’t have to deal with those difficult teenage years.” Hmm, looks like Franks needs a few lessons in the wonder that is the terrible twos!
