Actress’ ex Gabriel Aubry defends himself against ‘bad dad’ rumours and may fight for full custody of toddler daughter Nahla
After the news broke that actress Halle Berry, 43, and her long-term partner Gabriel Aubry had split, it seemed that the showbiz couple had parted amicably. “I am sad to say that Halle and I have decided together to separate at this time,” Gabriel told Access Hollywood. However, rumour has it that things have turned sour between the pair, who are parents to 2-year-old Nahla. Do we see a custody battle on the horizon?
According to Radar Online, model Gabriel, 34, is said to be unhappy with online speculation that he allegedly didn’t “pull his weight” in their relationship and wasn’t a supportive dad to Nahla. “Gabriel is not happy with the way he is being portrayed as some kind of dead beat dad who was living off Halle,” a source told the gossip site. “Gabriel has always been there 100% for his daughter, he would do absolutely anything for her.”
Gabriel is reportedly so unhappy with the ‘bad dad’ tag, that he is allegedly considering calling in lawyers to challenge the custody situation, and potentially wants to be the sole carer of Nahla. “Gabriel is concerned about the craziness surrounding their break-up and he’s concerned about the effect it’s having on Nahla.”
