Halle Berry: “The pregnancy rumours aren’t true”
Hollywood actress says stories gave her a complex about eating
Mum-of-one, Halle Berry, has quashed persistent rumours that she is pregnant again, by speaking out on the Jay Leno show on US TV. “I was getting a complex,” revealed the 43-year-old Hollywood star. “I was like, ‘I’ve got to stop with the burgers or something!’”
Halle said she’s very content being mum to Nahla Ariela, her 18-month-old daughter with partner Gabriel Aubry. Nahla recently spotted Halle on the cover of Harpers Bazaar magazine, when they were shopping in a supermarket, reports Celebritybabyblog.
“I’ve got on my sunglasses and putting all my groceries on the belt, and I hear her say ‘Mama, Mama’. I knew, ‘Ooh, she saw that cover, that’s cute,’” explained Halle.
A woman in the queue behind her then turned to Nahlia and gently corrected her, “Oh no honey, that’s not your mama, that’s Halle Berry.”
“And I’m like, okay, that’s kind of funny,” recalled Halle. Nahla, however, refused to back down and said “Mama, Mama!” again.

The lady then repeated, “No, honey, that’s not your mama. That’s Halle Berry.”
“I couldn’t take it any longer,” revealed Halle, “so I whipped off my glasses and turned around and I was like, ‘No, I am her mother and I am Halle Berry and she knows what she’s talking about!’”
