If you couldn’t hear Big Ben’s chimes this New Year’s Eve it probably had something to do with the chirpy sounds of excited celeb mums and mums-to-be tweeting. Ringing in 2012 in a flurry of hash tags, many celeb mums took the time to spread the virtual joy. Mum-of-two Jessica Alba is hoping for “Health-happiness and love” for all her tweeples while Danielle Lloyd said how “Family New Year fun better than any night out”. She posted an adorable pic to boot. Coleen Rooney had more to celebrate than just the arrival of another year, confirming she now has “1/2 million!!!” followers on Twitter. Una Healy seems ready for a sensible 2012, saying that there will be “no more flying until after baby is born.” Talking of flying, Holly Willoughby was flying the flag for the majority of us out there come the beginning of 2012. Hitting Twitter the morning after, the mum-of-one tweeted, “So far 2012 hurts…” Amanda Holden even admitted just last night she was “Having last Xmas Splurge [sic]!” Katie Price on the other hand was keen to let her followers know she’d been to the “gym already today” on New Year’s Day. Think we’ll stick to Amanda’s approach for now!
