Twin mum Mariah agrees she had the longest pregnancy ever, though we don't think it was "literally" more than a month longer than any one else's!
Describing her pregnancy as a ‘bleak’ period of her life, Mariah Carey has explained the difficulties of being pregnant with twins.
The singer, who was 41 when she carried babies Moroccan and Monroe, revealed her pregnancy woes in an appearance on a US shopping channel.
“Everyone was always saying to me, ‘Oh but it's all worth it’. And I was like, ‘Yeah well it's easy for you to say when you're not the one whose feet are this big’,” Mariah sighed.
“My body went through so much - you have to keep those twins in as long as possible, but it's a sacrifice you make for them. I was literally 47 weeks pregnant,” said new mum Mariah. We're guessing she means figuratively, and aren't sure if she realises that's how long her pregnancy seemed to the rest of us, with constant tweets and news updates from the excited parents-to-be!
But Mariah's not the only celebrity experiencing a long nine months - we’ve got our birth radar trained on Selma Blair right now. Selma's fast approaching the three weeks overdue mark, which is a lot longer than mums-to-be are usually able to over their due date.
