Dad-to-be Nick Cannon confirms the news, and says, bizarrely, Barack and Michelle Obama were the first to know
After Nick Cannon seemed to imply his wife Mariah Carey was expecting twins earlier this week, he’s now gone all out and confirmed the rumours that the singer mum-to-be is expecting two babies.
Nick spoke about the news on his radio show in America, and explained that rather oddly, US president Barack Obama and first lady, Michelle, were the first to officially hear the news after Mariah spilled the beans to them backstage at TNT’s Christmas In Washington concert.
“They questioned my wife about, you know, ‘so what are you having, are you having twins?’” Nick told his listeners.
“At this point she hadn’t told anyone because doctors advised us to keep it to ourselves until we get further along. Because of the excitement and the emotion, she was overwhelmed and she shared the news with the President and First Lady.”
So, we finally know exactly how many she has in there. Anyone taking bets on what the next Mariah rumour will be?
