The children are likely to attend with their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, who is acting as their temporary legal guardian.

According to family lawyer Brian Oxman, Jackson's children have been coping remarkably well. "Katherine is a phenomenal person," Oxman told The Daily Telegraph. "She's taking care of the kids like Mother Goose, reading them stories and talking to them as they crowd around each other in a circle."

Debbie Rowe, the mum of Prince Michael and Paris who is also applying for custody, has announced she will not be at the memorial and will continue to celebrate her ex-husband Michael Jackson's memory in private.
