Michael's mum Katherine opens up about her grandchildren, Paris, Prince and Blanket and what life's been like since their dad passed away
Paris, Prince and Blanket Jackson are apparently trying to lead a normal life, according to their late dad's mum, Katherine Jackson. Katherine is the legal guardian of the three children since their dad, her son, Michael Jackson, passed away nearly two years ago. Prince, 14, Paris, 13, and Blanket, 10, apparently spend their days playing outside, going to school and following their dreams like any other children, despite being part of the world's most famous family. "They're good kids and I don't have that much to worry about. They have their friends over. They ride their bikes. They're doing okay," said Katherine, in a teary interview, reported by the Daily Mail. "They go to acting school and they love that, although Paris doesn't need lessons. Prince is a very good student. He's always saying: 'Grandma I got a 98 in my test.' It makes me happy to see them smile," added the 81-year-old.While the kids are doing well at school and moving on, the three love to hear stories of Michael and teenager Paris keeps reminders of him close to her for comfort. "When I had a decorator come in who moved [photos of Michael], she put them all back. 'I want Daddy hanging on the walls' she said. I don't know how she could, but she does. She took a pillow and one of his jackets, and said: 'I don't want a jacket that's been cleaned. I want something with his scent on it.' She put the jacket over the pillow and she breathes it. It's still there," said Katherine. The Jackson family is uniting at the beginning of October for the Michael Forever Tribute Concert at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, where a whole range of celebrities, including pregnant Beyonce, will be performing.Want to know more celeb gossip?
