Model credits her grandmother for pregnancy beauty tips
It’s hard to believe Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr needs any beauty advice, but the mum-of-one has revealed her grandma gave her advice on looking good while pregnant.
The 29-year-old, who gave birth to her and actor husband Orlando Bloom’s son Fynn last year, revealed all in an interview in the current UK issue of Harper's Bazaar, reports the Daily Mail.
“She would say to me, ‘Look Miranda, I know you are married and you are pregnant, but men are visual and you still need to make an effort for Orlando.’”
“And I say, ‘Nan! He loves me just the way I am.’ She replied, ‘I’m the one who’s been married for how many years? Just put a little lip balm and a nice dress on. Look your best, nice and fresh.’”
Miranda’s grandmother appears to give good advice. She famously warned Miranda against eating too much during pregnancy, saying she would make a big baby. Flynn was born weighing almost 10lb.
The Aussie model said she was relaxed about her post-baby figure saying, “I didn’t feel the pressure to snap back into shape.”
“My priority was just having my son and breastfeeding, which was something I really wanted to do,” she added.
The model seems to have taken inspiration from her granny’s simple beauty advice. Earlier this year she revealed the hassle free beauty techniques she relies on as a busy mum.
Her approach seems to have worked. Miranda was voted the ‘most beautiful person of 2012’. It appears granny does know best!
What great advice did you get from family members when you were pregnant?
