Moshi Monsters reach top three in UK’s midweek Official Charts – can they keep the Queen of Pop at bay?
Moshi Monsters’ debut album Music Rox! looks set to rival Madonna in the UK music charts this Sunday.With constant speculation of a copycat feud with Lady Gaga, whose own fans are dubbed ‘little monsters’, Madonna’s probably quite fed up of hearing the ‘M’ word. However, after Moshi Monster’s album made it to number three in the charts after being on sale for just two days, Madonna’s fans might have some explaining to do. At least Madonna will be in good company if the moshlings barge her out off third place. Eminem saw a Christmas number one slip from his angst-ridden hands back in 2000 after cartoon music star – and platinum selling - Bob the Builder stormed the charts. Moshi Monsters’ fanbase of registered users reportedly stands at 60 million so it looks like Madonna might have to perfect her gracious-loser Vogue pose.
