Natasha Kaplinsky admits going back to work is easier than looking after children

Natasha Kaplinsky thinks a job would be easier than being a full-time mum

Former newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky has admitted that her days spent looking after her two children Arlo, 3, and Angelica Pearl, 2, are more exhausting than her everyday job as the Five news presenter.

"I've been at home since Christmas when Five didn't renew my contract and I'm getting bored," she revealed recently, as reported by the Daily Mail. "I need another job in television. I am always exhausted with the demands of the two little ones - they never seem to sleep. It's much easier having a job."

Natasha, 38, was once the highest paid newsreader when she was offered a lucrative £1 million contract at Five news. However, six weeks into her new role, Natasha announced that she was pregnant with her first child and spent most of her time on maternity leave. She then returned but left when she became pregnant for the second time.

However, it looks like Natasha is ready to get back into the newsroom and feels her family is complete. "When I got married, my husband said he wanted four children and I agreed. But now I have told my husband, 'If you want more children, you'll have to find another wife!'"

I agree that being at work can be easier than being at home, especially when your L'Os are having a really demanding day, they also like to play up for mummy a bit more than for anyone else looking after them! About 2 years ago
