It may come as little surprise that mum to 14 children, Nadya Suleman, is a little sleep deprived! Looking after eight 1-year-olds is taking its toll on the controversial mum, who claims that despite “maturing a lot” since giving birth, she would like to get more time under the duvet! “I don’t get much sleep. About two or three hours a night,” Nadya revealed to People magazine.
Hitting the headlines when it was revealed that the 34-year-old jobless single mum of six underwent IVF treatment and conceived eight babies, Nadya believes that it has been the making of her. “I’ve definitely matured a lot. When this started, it was all about me but now I find myself in a situation where I have to support a large family. I’ve been through more in the last year than most people go through in a lifetime.”
However, the hardest part of being an ‘Octomum’ is spreading her time between her brood of eight babies, who celebrated their first birthday this week. “One of the biggest challenges is bonding with my babies. I need the help of nannies, but I don’t want my children being raised in something that resembles a group home.”
