Octomum Nadya Suleman is famous for being the mum of 14 children, eight of which are the longest surviving octuplets in US history. However, her fame has come at a price as Nadya revealed she can't cope with so many children any longer and said she “hates” her babies and thinks her six older children are “animals”.
“I hate my babies, they disgust me. My older six are animals, getting more and more out of control, because I have no time to properly discipline them,” the stressed mum said in an interview with InTouch magazine.
To highlight the lack of discipline amongst her children, InTouch ran a picture of one of the children eating dry-wall in their home.
The strain of bringing up so many children has even led Nadya to have suicidal thoughts. “The only way I can cope is to lock myself in the bathroom and cry. Sometimes I sit there for hours and even eat my lunch sitting on the toilet floor. Anything to get peace and quiet. Some days I have even thought about killing myself. I cannot cope,” she admitted.
The single mum of 14 insists that despite all of her comments she does love her children, but in hindsight wishes she had never given birth to any of them.
To add to Nadya’s worries and struggles, she is unemployed, her bank account is $300 overdrawn and she claims to be unable to pay for food, schools or the mortgage. The landlord of her home in La Hambra, California, has even taken action to get her kicked out of her house as she is so behind in payments.
To try and boost her finances Nadya will be appearing on a new celebrity dating TV show called Celebridate. Nadya said this will be a big step for her as she has been celibate for 12 years and only slept with an ex-boyfriend and the sperm donor of her children.
Nadya's octuplets, six boys and two girls, were born in January 2009. The older six children, four sons and two daughters, were born between 2001 and 2009.
