Wayne Rooney plans to outdo David Beckham with all-star kids bash
While most toddlers see in their third birthday with cake, cardboard hats and, if they’re very lucky, a balloon-bending magician, Kai Rooney’s upcoming celebration looks set to be an altogether glitzier affair.
Never knowingly outdone in the bling stakes, Wayne and Coleen Rooney are reportedly desperate to convince One Direction to perform at their son Kai’s third birthday bash.
A source told the Daily Star, “He wants them to perform a few hits in the backyard at their mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire”.
“Wayne’s particularly keen to hear them sing ‘What Makes You Beautiful’, a song he often sings to Kai to make him laugh”.
This follows the news that David Beckham secured One-D’s heart-throb rivals, The Wanted, for Romeo’s tenth birthday party in L.A. Could this be a case of boy-band one-upmanship?
