All it takes is one unflattering paparazzi picture showing the suggestion of a tummy in place of a previous flat stomach and the gossip stories fly.
After Nicole Richie dismissed pregnancy rumours earlier this week when pics showed her looking more curvy than usual, Scarlett Johansson has found herself in the same position.
The pictures of the Iron Man actress jogging with new man Sean Penn suggested a hint of a slightly rounded tummy under her running gear. Soon the internet was awash with rumours that the pair may be expecting a baby.
But her representative has put an end to the fevered speculation, declaring “Scarlett is not pregnant. She’s outside running and it’s simply the placement of her shirt that is misleading.” Indeed, it seems it was all down to how Scarlett was standing and the way the light was falling.
Warning to other celebs – keep that tummy tucked in!
