She gives her daughter actor’s surname even though it’s yet to be proved he’s the father
Hollywood star Ryan Phillippe’s ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp has given her newborn the actor’s surname, even though he may not be the dad.
The Lincoln Lawyer actor allowed his former lover to name the 8lb baby, Kaliana Phillippe-Knapp, despite questions surrounding the paternity of the child.
Ryan is still awaiting a DNA test to find out whether he is the little girl’s father, but has promised to provide financial support if she does turn out to be his.
The 36-year-old Hollywood household name was not named on the birth certificate but was at Alexis’ side in the delivery room when she gave birth on 6thJuly at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre.
Ryan who split from 26-year-old aspiring actress in October last year, already has two children Ava, 11 and Deacon, 7, with rumoured to be pregnant ex wife, Reese Witherspoon.

That same month the ladies man had struck up a romance with Red Riding Hood star Amanda Seyfried at a Halloween party hosted by new mum Kate Hudson. When news of Alexis’ pregnancy broke in March, the relationship ended.
Whether he’s the father or not, Ryan has been playing the part of the doting dad, taking Alexis to her last doctor’s appointment and being present during the labour.
