Forget Year of the Dragon, 2012 is hotting up to be year of the celebrity baby girl
It looks like 2012 could be the year for stocking up on pink babygrows. The list of stars who have recently given birth to baby girls is growing by the minute. Two weeks ago Michelle Heaton delivered Faith Michelle Hanley. And this week Amanda Holden gave birth by emergency caesarian to baby Hollie Rose Hughes.
Now Michelle has tweeted Amanda, saying: “Congratulations honey - Gorgeous name – girls r amazing!"
Elsewhere Beyonce and Jay-Z are loved up with their high-profile new arrival Blue Ivy. And Sam Taylor-Wood, 44, this month gave birth to daughter Romy Hero, her second with toyboy fiancé Aaron Johnson, 21.
The list doesn’t end there. In November, Lily Allen gave birth to baby Ethel Mary. Last year Victoria Beckham finally got her longed-for daughter Harper Seven, after having three boys. Jessica Alba now has two daughters, after the birth of baby Haven in 2011. And Una Healy, of girl group The Saturdays, has revealed she has a little girl on the way.
While baby boys are definitely just as cute, there’s no doubt that baby girls give some celebs the chance to create a mini-me. We’re looking forward to seeing the outfits – though we say resist pink if you can.
