Actress Gwyneth Paltrow said this week on US TV show In Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet that she too gets impatient with her and husband Chris Martin’s two children, Apple, 8 and Moses, 6, reports Celebrity Baby Scoop.
“When I’m tired, when my chips are down – that’s when I don’t parent the way that I want to parent,” Gwyneth said.
“I can get impatient and at the end of my rope and just threadbare. And I hate that and I hate feeling out of control. It’s not the way that I would aspire to be,” she said.
Gwyneth goes on to say, however, that she thinks it’s good for kids to know that people have tempers and suffer bad days.
“I do really believe that part of our job is to equip them for the world. And we can’t make everything ok for them, we can’t take away all of their suffering. It’s not good for them. They need to know that people lose their tempers and people have bad days and it doesn’t mean you don’t love them,” she said.
Sounds like good advice, Gwyn!
