Claudia Schiffer, Sarah Brown and Natalia Vodianova leave children at home for a night of glamour
Last night, in amongst the fashion elite, an impressive number of celebrity mums made an appearance at Fashion’s Night Out, possibly the fashion event of the decade!
Fashion’s Night Out, in association with Vogue magazine, was simultaneously hosted in stores in 13 fashion capitals across the world, from London to Beijing. It saw designer, high street and beauty stores collaborating for the world’s biggest retail event in decades.
London’s glamorous location was the Burberry store in Bond Street, where celebrities and frenzied shoppers flocked.
The evening included a varied spectrum of celeb mums, from politicians' wives to a Russian supermodel!
Battling to score the most stylish MP’s wife were Sarah Brown and Samantha Cameron.
Prime Minister’s wife Sarah, mum to John, 6, and James, 3, wore a midnight blue shift dress and shiny black courts. Samantha, the creative director of luxury brand Smythson and wife of Conservative leader David Cameron wore a vibrant flouro-floral dress and a tailored blazer. Leaving her children Nancy, 5, and Arthur, 3, at home she joined in with her sister, who is Deputy Editor at Vogue.
Showing off her post-baby figure was Tess Daly, new mum to Amber, 3 months, and 4-year-old Phoebe. Looking elegant in a grey Burberry ensemble was mum of three, Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova. Fellow model Claudia Schiffer also made an appearance, leaving her two children at home to spend some serious cash.
Other celeb mums who joined in the fashion fun were Donna Air, Laura Bailey, Sadie Frost and Jasmine Guinness.
Across the Atlantic in New York, more celebrity yummy mummies turned up to grab a piece of the fashion action. Mum-of-two Gwen Stefani dressed to impress with a black, slouchy jumpsuit and her own label Lamb shoes in neon yellow and green. Kate Hudson, mum to Ryder, 5, came arm in arm with US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, wearing a power shouldered dress.
