Tom Hanks, the voice of Woody in Toy Story 3, has revealed how appropriate he is for the role as he’s still playing with children’s toys at 54!
“I play with toys all the time. I play with the little goofy things my kids still have like cars and planes and I hold them up and imagine the same stories I did when I was a kid,” Tom said.
The actor, who has four children aged 12 to 32, explains how he used toys as a child because he found it difficult to make friends. “I moved around so much as a kid, I didn’t have an awful lot of friends. I don’t think it’s part of my make up to completely open up,” he said.
And in other news from the Toy Story 3 camp, a lucky British dad has been revealed as the voice of the green army man in the Disney hit of the summer. IT manager Matt Broughton who beat off tough competition for the role will be joined by his proud son Reef on the red carpet at the premier this Sunday.
Toy Story 3 will be making kids happy (and dads cry!) from the 23rd July.
