How to access your neighbourhood content

You can find your neighbourhood by clicking on the link on the main navigation of the site, which you’ll find at the top of each page.

Different ways of finding your way around

Look out for different ways of navigating around the site.

When you are in the neighbourhood section you can use the side navigation unit to browse content and filter using our different sub-categories. This also shows you how many listings are available as you click deeper into the site.

Using your neighbourhood search

You can also use the neighbourhood search function to discover a specific listing, such as football classes, baby massage classes or antenatal groups.

Start to organise your social life with My Events

When you are browsing events in your neighbourhood, you can keep a record of the ones that you are interested in, so it's easy to keep track of upcoming events. To add an Event, click on the green + button next to the event listing. 

This will add the listing to your own list of events, which appears in the My Events box.

See your complete stored listings

You can see the complete list of your stored events by visiting the My Events section of My Profile. Find My Profile on the navigation bar at the top of the page.

Invite your friends to an event

We make it easy for you to invite your friends to any interesting event you've found on MadeForMums. Go to the My Events page in My Profile and organise for a friend or a group of friends to come along with you, but clicking on the 'Invite a friend' icon.

We are planning loads more ways that you will be able to hook up and create social connections to events and your friends in the next few months.

Become an active member of your neighbourhood community

We have designed your neighbourhood to make it really easy to add your own content and have your say – the more content you and your friends add the more useful it will be for local mums.

Whether you want to review or rating something, start or join a local discussion, or add your own event or activity, its easy and quick to do.

Review, rate or discuss an event, class or place

It’s easy and fast to add your content to any listing in your local area. You can rate and review to add your own experience, or you can add a comment to a review that already exists.

Every listing can be reviewed and discussed, so if you really like something (or really don’t like something), then take a moment to add your views.

Start a discussion, join a topic or ask a question

MadeForMums neighbourhood is also the place where you can find out what’s important to other mums in your area. It's the perfect home to start a discussion, ask the local community a question, or join a conversation.

We’ve made it fast and easy to tell the community something new or to join a discussion, whether it's a local campaign to save a library or children's centre, or tips on finding a family-friendly taxi company.

Add a listing yourself

Whether you are an event organiser, or want to add your favourite class or group to tell other mums, it’s really easy to add a listing to your neighbourhood site.

The process takes no more than a couple of minutes, and it's simple to make sure that local mums are able to find details about the event, group, class or great place to go.
