Jessica Alba’s natural glow in 10 minutes

Make-up:

“Spend as much time of your 10 minutes as possible on your skin,” says Sarah-Jane Froom, make-up artist for Bare Escentuals (baremineral.com). “If your complexion looks good then anything else will look good too. For maximum impact in minimum time, groom your brows, use gloss on your lips and apply a coat of mascara.”

Hair:

“The key to achieving party hair quickly is to have a good haircut and make sure you condition your hair regularly,” says Denise McAdams, celebrity hairdresser (Denise’s hair products are available at Tesco). “To create this loose chignon style use dry shampoo and a small hair roller.”

  • Step 1: Brush hair into a side parting, spray with dry shampoo (avoid your parting) and dust into the hair using open fingers.
  • Step 2: Wrap the front section of your fringe around a small roller and pin.
  • Step 3: Backcomb the lengths of your hair and twist and pin at the nape.
  • Step 4: Take out the roller from the front section and either pin the curl near your ear or let it fall loose. Finish with hairspray.
