If you've got an Urban Detour and could give me a quick round-up of what you like - and don't like - about it - could you please email me at

 karen.heath@magicalia.com

 Many thanks

we bought our urban detour in oct 2007 when my daughter was 13months to replace a faulty Quinny Buzz.  We have asecond daughter 7months.

Really like our buggy, moves & folds easily .  Good basket & great raincover.  Car seat fits easily & light weight.  We have the fur lined foodmuff which is really snug for our youngest but was already too small for my toddler when we bought it, i'd say a negative there as i'd have expected it to have lasted much longer especially as she was petite for her age.  Two positions which is manually done with a clip at the back which is a bit of a fumble under the hood cover but fine when you get the hang of it, lay flat or a kind of lounge, my eldest would prefer to be more upright & is always holding herself up but my littlest loves it & sleeps every time!.  Roomy & comfortable.

All in all would say good value for £299.

We bought the Urban Detour in March 2006 when we had our first daughter. It folds easily and the back wheels come off easily if it needs to go in to a small space. The cosytoes is lovely and warm and is easy to put on and remove. The hood is big and the rain cover is fab. It goes in to a lying position beautifully but only goes up to a half lying position, would of preferred it to be more upright. You can fit a buggy board on to it for your toddler. We are now using it for our second daughter and it is still going well. The only bad thing is it is quite heavy.

Hi, i had the urban detour in september 2004. It got the nickname urban destroyer from my husbands friends due to its size!! however its a great buggy, its very light and moves exceptionally. As mentioned above the rain cover is superb. one problem i had was trying to get a spare inner tube, in the end we sourced one from a bike shop.
