i think home parties are super, well done for advertising it, there is so much pressure on spending and who does the best party.  Holly's 1st birthday was  a home tea party for all her family and friends with pass the parcel and pin the tale on the donkey, so much fun and tonnes of memories to share x

Hello all. It's great having this kind of forum and being able to get it touch with Mums like me! My little business sells gorgeous kids party bags online. I got the idea to start doing them when I couldn't find what I wanted for my son on his 1st birthday party. We had all age ranges of kids and it was really difficult to get something nice for them all in the same place. Rachael like you, I love to have a tea party or barbeque at home, so they make a great gift for all of the kids that attend. It's nice being able to see the smiles on their faces and watch them play with all the stuff.  I love making the cakes and food - actually I think I am regressing to what I would've liked as a child lol.

Holly's 2nd birthday is coming up and we will be having a good old fashioned house party for her and her little buddies, with pass the parcle, pin the tale on the donkey and lots of playing, to make the work easier family are going to help with the food to share the expense and i will do a home made birthday cake too. My friend who is good at photography will come round too to take pics of her special day so we don't have to worry about moments being missed and payment is cake and goodies.  There are always ways to have a great day without spending a fortune
