Hi all

Just wondered if there was anyone who had any healthy pregnancy tips to share ?

I am writing an article for Practical Parenting Magazine and wondered if you had any words of wisdom to pass on or advice you ignored that you now wish you had listened to....

If you have and wuold like to be featured please reply to Jane or email me at jthynne479@btinternet.com

Looking forward to hearing from you...

Hi Jane

My top tips would be;

Eat healthily, good meals and snacks; some i loved were bio yoghurt with pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, sardines on toast, beans on toast and homemade lentil soup.  Great for keeping topped up on those essential vitamins and slow releasing energy.

Keep exercising its great for the feel good factor.

Relax - read, go to bed early, have a nice bath - all really helped me while pregnant and its good bump bonding time too.  I got lots of lovely kicks while realxing in the tub

Jane

I've thought of some more - stock up on washing powder, toilet rolls and tea bags, i stocked up on all those essentials while i was pregnant then i didn't have to bother lugging them about and they lasted for ages after holly was born.

In those early days when your about 10 weeks, when your normal clothes are beginning to feel tight but your well off proper maternity clothes, treat yourself to some new jeans but a size bigger than your normal size and when these start to feel a bit tight on the button thread a hair bobble around the button through the hole for a a bit more give.

I massaged my bump in baby oil morning and night to help my skin when i started to grow, it kept my skin in great condition, i was very silky smooth and it was cheap to buy.

Drink peppermint tea when your pregnant it helps ease wind and bloating and is nice and refreshing too.
