We’d love to hear some of your top tips on preparing early for a stress-free Christmas for a feature in the October issue of PP. Do you stock up on wrapping paper in July to make sure you’re not caught out? Or perhaps you make sure you’ve got all your pressies sorted and organised before the Christmas trees have even gone up in the shops? Please leave your top tips on here or email me at tessa.watkins@magicalia.com.

Thanks!

Tessa

i will talk /chat and get an idea what the person wants for christmas. or ask them to list top ten things they want. (only those i can afford to buy) set out a budget. get them when they are on sale!

I'm forever making lists, lists of what to buy, lists of what's yet to buy,and of course lists of where I've secretly stashed everything!!!!!

With having another due in December, everything has to be done by November this year,so as always I bought paper in Jan sales and have started on pressies for the boys already!!!

Very lucky, don't have that many presents to buy,but I'm usually sorted by late Nov,just have to be certain this year!!!!

My brother's birthday is in December so I always make sure I'm stocked up on wrapping paper before November. I usually do my Christmas shopping at the same time as I do his birthday shopping too. It saves a LOT of last minute stress!

I usually buy my wrapping paper in January - when it's cut price, but leave the presents until December, as in the past I have bought way in advance, and then forgot where I put it.

Now that my children can say what they want (apart from the youngest) they tell us what they'd like, and it could change right up until December, so there'd be no point in buying so far in advance.

I always buy as many presents as possible during the summer sales.

I also start stocking up on food and drink in the middle of november.  Things like stuff for buffets, crisps, snacks, alcohol and soft drinks.  It helps spread the cost out a bit, and also means i wont be battling the hoards come mid-december when time and patience are running out!  As well as all the food...
