    You are meant to avoid soap completely on new babies. Their skin can't cope with it.

    I have 4 children and all of them but the last, we were told in hospital to use water and cotten wool for nappy changes, it was only for the last one, October last year, that we could use wipes straight away. Its surprising how advice changes with every baby.
