Hi,

       I'm Rebecca, 35 mum to Harriet 18, George 15, Summer-rose 3 and Alfred 6 months.

Just trying to get used to the fact i've just stopped breast feeding as Alfie's first two( sharp) teeth have come through and it just got too painfull.

Have breastfed all my children, with varying degrees of success, and love that special closeness so as well as the physical withdrawal i'm having to come to terms with the emotinal withdrawal too .

This was also the first time i've ever expreianced lactational amenorrhoea.....no periods while breast feeding , which i'd always assumed was a myth! Love to know how common it really is and wonder how long it will be till i'm back to 'normal'?

Now sadly have no excuse not to diet and exercise.....wonder where i left my fitness dvd?

 chat soon,   Becca x x x

hiya rebecca,

my youngest isnt a jan 09 baby, but thought id come and say hello, im laura mum to jack 26mnths and lola 10mnths, she quit breastfeeding herself at 8mnths, i was so sad, i didnt have periods while breastfeeding either, i did with my eldest, but he wasnt very good feeder and ended up on formular and ebm then fully formular by 4mnths, so thats possibly why, its pretty rare though! Im not complaining though, was nice to have a break lol!

hope to see you around the forum, theres often a few of us in the chat section!

take care

Laura xxx

Hi,Rebecca.

I'm Jo.Not a January baby here either,my youngest was born in May.

I breast fed all of mine for varying lengths of time.Eight months the longest and with the youngest, just two days.I didn't have periods while feeding any of them.It usually took around  a month after stopping to return, then a couple of cycles to settle down back to "normal"

I think about diet and exercise frequently.Unfortunately that would mean giving up the Dairy Milk so I think I'll give it a miss.I do have an exercise DVD.I bought it post baby number 4.I've read the back of the box

Hope to chat soon

Jo
