My baby was born with lots of hair - he is only 6 weeks old and its still growing and showing no signs of 'falling out' like lots pf people told me it would.

For those that has hairy babies.....esp boys.......when did you get thier hair trimmed?

I think by 12 weeks it will be quite a bit over his ears....

Michael didn't loose any hair till he was about 3 to 3.5 months old. Than he went almost completely bold and now it starts to grow again. Give it some time, it probably will fall out at some point. I was counting myself lucky Michaels hair did not fall out while babies younger than him had lost loads. The next week it started with him.

    Hi hon,
My little boy was born with lots of hair and it DIDN'T fall out at all - only a tiny part on the back of his head where he slept on it!! I had to cut his hair at around 3 months as it was growing over his ears and then I took him to my hairdressers at around 5 months to have it cut properly as it just kept growing and growing!! They gave me all the bits of hair in an envelope to keep!!
At 6 months old his hair is now getting thicker and still growing, so I think we are going to need regular hair cuts!

siany, me and my oh were like you too!! george did have a tiny bit of fair hair when he was born but this went carrot top ginger then fell out at 2 weeks. he went shiny bald on top first with tufty bits round the side. he looked like william hague. if we hold him up to the right light he does have a little bit of pure white hair, eyelashes & eyebrows now. his skin is also the whitest shade of white i ever did see. he needs a san tropez!!

    Hi
My first son was born with a big mop of hair and he didnt lose any so when he was 5 months we took him to the hair dressers as it was starting to get in his eyes and they trimmed it although it was difficult as he was so wriggly!
My second son was also born with loads of hair but all of sudden at 6 months he started losing loads, he's a year old now and its all grown back though.

DS had a big mop of black hair. We didn't think he'd lose it but he did between 2 and 3 months, but his natural hair colour of light brown was already coming through quite quickly. I was thinking around 6 weeks that I might have to think about trimming it but in the end didn't need to bother. Finally cut it during month 8 as it was into his eyes and he's had it done again since. Now I need to practice feather cutting(?) so he doesn't end up with a pudding bowl haircut.
