(check me out, two questions on the same page!LOL)

I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm lazy and don't want to search!
We need to get Spencer a passport for when we go away in Sept. Do I need to use a photo booth? I've heard that adult hands can't be visible in the photo, is this true? How do you avoid it?

Any tips or personal experiences would be very gratefully received.

    Thanks x

Hi I haven't personally done this but my friend got her twins photos done the other day. They are 4 1/2 months. She went to jessops and what they done was sat them on a seat and my friend was bent down holding their back. The photos came out really well.

I had my son's passport photo taken at Snappy Snaps. They did a great job. They have a little photo studio in the back of the shop and it's set up to take infant passport photos. They lay the baby on a white cushion thing on the floor and they take the picture from above. I think it cost around ??5 for 4 pictures.

Hey pixie_woo, we did angelo's passport pic ourselves by laying him on a white sheet and taking a few snaps then cropping to size on photoshop & printing at home. This way no adult hands were in view. We weren't sure if they would be accepted but they were, I guess as long as you keep to the guidelines it should be fine. If you can't be bothered with all this I've heard snappy snaps is good as Allie73 said. x

Thanks, that's all really helpful. I might try at home first and then if I can't get a clear enough shot then I'll seek professional help (for the photo I mean, not my mental state!)

We used www.passpic.com - you take the photo yourself on a white sheet, send it to the website and they post you 4 correctly formatted photos.
For Charlotte's Canadian citizenship photo I took her to Klick Photo. They took her photo on a baby mattress and formatted it correctly.
