My wee boy is 13 weeks and has suddenly become really clingy, cries whenever he is passed t o anyone except me or OH. also screams and screams if iput him down, he is ok straight after a feed if i leave him lying after nappy chnage, but shortly he starts crying, after this if i go to put him down he screams.

Have managed to get him to sleep in his pram in the house, by putting a top i haave been wearing round his face, which is great as for weeks he would only sleepon me but woke if i put him down.

Anyone else foudn thsi? Any tips for how to help clingy babies wlecome, as i go back to work after xmas so wuld like to sort this sooner rather than later. Also dont want it to be a habit.

Health visitor says its fine and not to worry, but shes not the one with a baby glued to her all day long!

Hello there. I'm not sure if there is anything you can do but, just wanted to let you know that this is normal and does wear off. Apparently, at this age they become aware of the fact that you can leave them but, have not yet learnt that you always come back!
One of the other Mummy's on here said she used to say 'Bye-bye!!' and walk round a corner but came straight back saying 'Hello!!'. She kept doing this but gradually increased the amount of time she stayed out of sight. Might be worth a try....

I started getting my sister to have Lo for a few hours and even overnight long before I ever thought about going back to work so they could both adjust to the situation. Might be adviseable to do the same.
