they say not to use scissors anymore cos can damage their nail beds and to nibble at them instead. i couldnt stomach that idea so am afraid i have to cut my little ones. cant see any probs so far, but i do have to do it when shes asleep, she wont let me near otherwise

I've got a pair of baby nail clippers, think I got them in grooming set from tescos.

I normally get dad to cut them after his bath while I'm feeding bedtime bottle and he's pretty relaxed.

lo's nail seem to grow so fast we have to do them about twice a week now

I have to do my LO's twice a week as well and use the nail clippers that came in the grooming set. Still struggle with toe nails tho. Thankfully its only her big toes that really need doing. I get so scared of cutting her little piggies!

I use a baby emery board to keep Charlotte's under control. When she was very small I had to do them most days because they got so sharp!

I bite his nails off. It is a nightmare tho as he's so wriggly. I do it when he's asleep lol. I bite my own nails (terrible habit i know) so don't find it weird or anything.

I use baby nail clippers and a nail file to sort out the sharp corners and toenails are a pain but the file does the job without accidentally hurting her, my friend did her little boys an took a chunk out of his finger with the clippers that always scares me now so tend to file more than use clippers xx

With my first I bit them cos I was way too scared to use clippers- thought I'd prob end up severing her finger off! (new mum paranoia was in full force at that point!) I am also a nail biter so biting them didn't bother me at all.

With Evie I use clippers and just clip the tops off, it's quite easy but just be careful not to go too short.

When Cole was small I used scissors when he was asleep or got my hubby to do it while I was feeding him (that took some doing..he was more scared than I was) - and I occasionally bit them too, but now I use the clippers.. fortunately he was about 2 months old before I had to do his toenails. I found the clippers easier actually, and now I do them when he's awake..it just takes a bit of time thats all
