fish fingers/fish cakes what age

i was thinking of giving toby some fish fingers or fish cakes for lunch with a bit of mash and some veg. hes 15 months and i cant rember what age they can have them from and aslo do they contain a lot of salt

  • My LO is 15 months and loves the odd fish finger with mash and beans or peas.
  • Shea adores fish cakes from Tescos - they do them in packs of two and they do cod / salmon and smoked haddock ones, they're 2 packs for ??2 and he's had them since he was about 7months old
  • try making your own fish fingers. All you need is any white fish cut into fish finger strips dipped in flour then egg then breadcrumbs. You can then either cook them or freeze them.

  • thanks for all the replys am going to buy some later and give them to him for lunch tomorrorw.i never even thought about making them might try when i have time over the weekend
