Hi ladies, just looking for some ideas for fish recipes? I am veggie, and although I have no problem cooking and serving meat, I can't bear fish! Obviously I want what is best for lo, so I want to give her fish. We are doing blw, so fish pie probably not the easiest for us, and she is 7 months old.

    Thanks!

pippa has oven cooked cod/haddock quite often, we just wrap some losely in tin foil and put it in the oven, the stuff from asda that they put in oven packs is fab. sometimes i put some homemade tomato pasta sauce on top as well and she loves it, she also likes tuna on jacket potatoes she's egg free so just has it plain but you could put a bit of mayo in the tuna. Pippa's blw and you'll be suprised how well they manage, i keep meaning to make her fish pie as she loves fish and mash

When dd1 was small I used a recipe in an Anabel Karmel book for fish goujons, I can't totally remember it but basically you use whichever fish you like, cut it into strips, and coat them in crushed cornflakes, then just bake them in the oven. They are then easy for them to pick up as well for blw.

Fish cakes are easy-just potatoes and flakes fish, mix together , coat in egg and breadcrumbs them grill or fry-you can make them sausage shaped so they're easier to hold x

salmon is easy peasey. If you put it in a microwaveabke bowl with a little bit of water in the bottom and cover with cling film then put it in for 3-4 minutes and tada - cooked steamed salmon . Boil up some asparagus to go with it and you're laughing! Easy to mush up too. x

My kids adore fish, i gave them it a lot in puree form. I used to chuck some salmon in the grill, boil some potatoes with some carrots or other veg and blend with some milk. You could use cod or something as well and even chuck in some chese.
